East and West Buildout Restoration

Scope
The buildouts on the eastern (Lawrence Avenue) and western (Main Street) entrances of the
building are weathered and falling into disrepair. Exposure to the elements has caused painted
surfaces to peel and wood to deteriorate to the point that boards are separating.

Eastern Entrance (Main Street):

  • Remove worn weathered wood pieces and replace with new, styled wood elements that match the existing pieces.

  • Replace roofing material, recaulk and seal gaps to prevent water damage and leaks to the interior structure of the portico.

  • Repaint buildout to the existing style with exterior paint.

  • Repaint the frieze white and repaint the lettering (as shown in included photo) with exterior paint.

  • Repaint discolored white molding.

Western Entrance (Lawrence Avenue):

  • Remove worn weathered wood pieces and replace with new, styled elements that match the existing pieces.

  • Replace roofing material, recaulk and seal gaps to prevent water damage and leaks to the interior structure.

  • Repaint buildout to the existing style with exterior paint.

  • Repaint discolored molding,

  • Paint colors are to be submitted to JSAC for review and approval.
